    Valcom Consulting Group Inc.: Driver/Operator Trainer
    (Various)

    Valcom Consulting Group was selected to assist with the initial cadre training and other areas with regards to supporting the MSVS fleet after it is delivered it is delivered to DND.

    Team Size: 5 - Driver & Operator Trainer

    • The entire team will be trained at the Prevost plant in St Nicolas:
    • Training start date: Mid May 2108
    • Duration of training at plant: 3 weeks

    Forecasted work schedule by location after training is completed:

    • Valcartier – 10 weeks
    • Edmonton – 9 weeks
    • Shilo – 3 weeks
    • Quebec and other bases – 9 weeks

    Note: All travel costs will be reimbursed in accordance with Treasury Board of Canada Policies and Guidelines

    In order to be considered for a position candidates need the following qualifications:

    Technical Skills

    • Good knowledge of Canadian army truck operator job (Fully competent)
    • Trainer (Expert/Proven experience)
    • Rigid & trailer trucks driving (Expert/Proven experience)
    • Truck off road and snow driving (Fully competent)
    • Office software applications : Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Writer (Fully competent)
    • Canadian Rigid & trailer truck driving license (Must have – in Quebec this is a Class 3 with air brakes)
    • No restriction to obtain clearance for Canadian Army Bases access (You should have a clearance already that we can have duplicated through our security officer.)

    General Skills

    • Orator (Fully competent speaking in front of a class/public)
    • Instructor (Expert)
    • Host (Expert)
    • Organization sense (Fully competent)
    • Listening sense (Fully competent)

    Tasks

    • To gain skills and knowledge to be able to conduct the operator training to reach Mack Defense quality expectations: between 90% and 100% of the satisfaction survey global result
    • To prepare the training in accordance with the training plan and the training session forms
    • To conduct the training in accordance with the training plan and the training material in French and in English (4 trainers only)
    • To report the feedback after each training to the Operational Training Manager
    • To send the attendance sheet and satisfaction survey to the Operational Training Manager
    • To update/modify the training material if required
    • To maintain the training material operational (Touch screen tablet, training posters and charts, vehicles, trailer, container and exercise load …)
    • To report to the Operational Training Manager and the Senior Trainer in case of any problem

    Valcom Consulting Group was selected to provide the initial cadre training and other services with regards to supporting the fleet of MSVS vehicles after they are delivered to DND.

    The following details the current plan for the team we are looking at providing services in Borden, On:

    • Team Size: 2 Operator/Maintenance Trainers. The team will be trained at the Prevost plant in St Nicolas , Quebec.
    • Training start date: April – May 2018 timeframe (exact start date TBC)
    • Duration of training at plant: 6weeks

    Forecasted work schedule by location after training is completed:

    • Borden at the RCEME School – 24 weeks
    • Quebec and other bases – 15 weeks

    Note: All travel costs will be reimbursed in accordance with Treasury Board of Canada Policies and Guidelines

    In order to be considered for a position candidates need the following qualifications:

    Technical Skills:

    • Good knowledge of Canadian army truck operator job (fully competent)

    • Engine maintenance (unit injector with electronic management) & diagnostic (fully competent)
    • Hydraulic system maintenance & diagnostic (fully competent)

    Responsibilities:

    • Assembles product parts by hand; uses a variety of hand tools to fasten, attach and secure parts; uses power tools to solder, drill and attach parts; uses various chemicals, adhesives and compounds to encapsulate, bond or clean parts.
    • Observes and removes products or parts that do not meet quality standards.
    • Affixes labels, company logos and other exterior details to products and packs up completed products and prepares them for shipment.
    • Ensures that workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials. Cleans and maintains equipment. Ensures production floor is kept clean and tidy. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
    • Monitors equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly.
    • Reports problems with production equipment and machinery to immediate supervisor or appropriate personnel.
    • Inspects incoming parts, sub-assemblies and assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards.
    • Responsible to unload, unpack and organize incoming shipments.
    • Works productively and efficiently to the production schedule to ensure that deadlines are met.
    • Reports any and all issues to immediate supervisor.
    • Utilizes a variety of test, measurement equipment in the verification of product specifications.
    • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
    • Maintains inventory supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels and informing appropriate personnel of shortages.
    • Reads and interprets relevant documents such as drawings, assembly procedures and Bills of Material.
    • Operates high pressure equipment in a safe manner, adhering to all safety precautions and procedures.

As the Marketing and Proposal Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and exceeding client expectations at every turn, while working with other members of our team.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Overseeing the entire proposal generation process 
    • Assist on responding to Requests For Proposal (RFP) 
    • Developing proposal templates 
    • Managing corporate information and process write-ups 
    • Maintaining project and customer profiles in a CRM 
    • Ensuring that proposals are compliant with the solicitation and are delivered on time

    Qualifications:

    • 2-3 years of proposal writing / communications experience 
    • Experience with trade show planning and set up

    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
    • Ability to balance multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed
