    We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual who would like to join our production team at GeoSpectrum Technologies Inc. (GTI) 10 Akerley Boulevard, Unit 19, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, B3B 1J4.  GTI specializes in underwater acoustic transducers and systems and has been recognized as a leading provider of specialized surveillance software for a variety of applications including military sonar (multistatic-active, passive, mine hunting), marine mammal monitoring, and ocean observation. GTI’s ability to provide integrated, end-to-end sonar systems and winch and handling systems sets us apart from the rest.

    Qualifications:

    Responsibilities:

    • Assembles product parts by hand; uses a variety of hand tools to fasten, attach and secure parts; uses power tools to solder, drill and attach parts; uses various chemicals, adhesives and compounds to encapsulate, bond or clean parts.
    • Observes and removes products or parts that do not meet quality standards.
    • Affixes labels, company logos and other exterior details to products and packs up completed products and prepares them for shipment.
    • Ensures that workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials. Cleans and maintains equipment. Ensures production floor is kept clean and tidy. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
    • Monitors equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly.
    • Reports problems with production equipment and machinery to immediate supervisor or appropriate personnel.
    • Inspects incoming parts, sub-assemblies and assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards.
    • Responsible to unload, unpack and organize incoming shipments.
    • Works productively and efficiently to the production schedule to ensure that deadlines are met.
    • Reports any and all issues to immediate supervisor.
    • Utilizes a variety of test, measurement equipment in the verification of product specifications.
    • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
    • Maintains inventory supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels and informing appropriate personnel of shortages.
    • Reads and interprets relevant documents such as drawings, assembly procedures and Bills of Material.
    • Operates high pressure equipment in a safe manner, adhering to all safety precautions and procedures.

    We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced proposal writer with a strong understanding of marketing and business development. As the Marketing and Proposal Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and exceeding client expectations at every turn, while working with other members of our team.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Overseeing the entire proposal generation process 
    • Assist on responding to Requests For Proposal (RFP) 
    • Developing proposal templates 
    • Managing corporate information and process write-ups 
    • Maintaining project and customer profiles in a CRM 
    • Ensuring that proposals are compliant with the solicitation and are delivered on time 
    • Managing and providing guidance to authors on content and graphics development 
    • Ensuring proposals are ready for scheduled reviews and final delivery 
    • Overseeing the maintenance of internal materials in the current proposal library, including marketing slicks, past performances, and resumes.
    • Developing marketing material 
    • Organizing and planning trade shows

    Other duties may include:  

    • Supporting other business development, operational and corporate initiatives. This includes creating white papers and participating in strategy and information sessions
    • Assisting with social media presence
    • Overseeing the development and maintenance of company web page

    Qualifications:

    • 2-3 years of proposal writing / communications experience 
    • Experience with trade show planning and set up
    • Proven experience marketing activities
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills
    • Above average attention to detail
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
    • Ability to balance multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed
    • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

    You have a passion for developing the design and visual content of eLearning projects. You enjoy working cohesively with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and produce high quality, high impact, online courseware.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop SCORM eLearning products for classroom and distributed training.
    • Use Adobe Flash and other industry standard software.
    • Create multimedia animation integrating images, 3D, sound and video.
    • Use authoring software to assemble eLearning content and publish the course in accordance with the Instructional Design Document(s).
    • Design and create interactions that are packaged in a rapid eLearning software.
    • Work with instructional designers to develop the content based on storyboards.
    • Maintain frequent communication with Project to ensure project meets schedule and set standards.
    • Provide advice on the suitable interaction and also on the limits of certain applications.
    • Create reusable online content.
    • Conduct programming in Adobe Flash Actionscript following set standards.
    • Assist in the development of custom interfaces and applications.
    • Conduct testing of asset and course functionality to ensure they meet requirements.
    • Ensure all project work containing Controlled Goods or Sensitive Material is developed and adheres to process/policy. 
    • Other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    • University degree or College Diploma in any field, and/or Applied Studies Internship (ASI) Certificate. 
    • Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience within the last five (5) years or be a successful graduate of the Applied Studies Internship (ASI) mentorship program using Adobe Flash for eLearning and other rapid e-learning tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Contribute, HTML, CSS, and/or Articulate by Techsmith. 
    • Must have a minimum of two (2) years' experience within the last three (3) years in programming eLearning applications using Adobe Flash.
    • Must be proficient in English. 
    • Must be able to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance.
