The Atlantic Canada Aerospace and Defence Association (ACADA) is a collaborative SME-focused organization representing the interests of the aerospace, defence, and security industries in Atlantic Canada. ACADA is comprised of approximately 180+ industry members and organizations across Atlantic Canada.

ACADA works collaboratively with industry members, provincial and federal government agencies, and other key stakeholders to facilitate strategic industry development on behalf of the region while promoting the Atlantic Canada brand locally, nationally, and internationally.

ABOUT THE JOB

Reporting to the CEO, the Regional Project Manager will be responsible for promoting, implementing, and coordinating ACADA programs and projects. Their work will focus on the successful development and delivery of programs that serve ACADA members in all four Atlantic provinces. Additionally, the Regional Project Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with ACADA’s New Brunswick member companies as our representative on the ground in the province.

This is a full-time, remote/virtual position, based in New Brunswick. The position is a contract to March 31, 2024 with the possibility for a permanent role starting April 1, 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the Regional Project Manager include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing the MACH Atlantic project, resources, and deliverables, including supporting member companies in defining, prioritizing, and implementing a competitiveness improvement plan in accordance with the MACH Excellence Framework (https://ac-ada.ca/mach-atlantic/)
  • Establishing an annual action/implementation plan for ACADA programs and initiatives
  • Preparing project status and progress reports for management and stakeholders
  • Promoting value of programming/projects and recruiting participants
  • Implementing strategies and projects to enhance ACADA’s value and competitiveness
  • Developing plans to address gaps, track and monitor progress, and support the team in the implementation of projects.
  • Project planning, scheduling, marketing, recruitment, reporting, and all related tasks associated with the successful management and execution of various initiatives
  • Participate and attend various industry events in the Province of New Brunswick to support members and industry
  • Participate as a member of the ACADA team by contributing to various projects in our annual workplan, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor or Graduate Degree in a related field preferred, for example: Experience and/or education could be in the areas of business management, project management, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, Lean/Six Sigma, industrial engineering, process engineering, and/or quality standards. Equivalent value in work experience will be considered.
  • Advanced skills in client, association member, and stakeholder relationship management
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Experience working with the Aerospace, Defence and Security Sector considered an asset
  • Experience managing and/or delivering federal and provincial funded projects considered an asset
  • Leadership experience working with sector/industry partner in business management, continuous improvement, productivity training, quality standards, business transformation, and/or business process excellence considered an asset
  • Advanced MS Office software skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management Certification considered an asset
  • Bilingual candidate preferred
  • The successful candidate will be expected to have access to reliable internet to allow them to work from home
  • The successful candidate will be expected to have access to a vehicle for travel to member offices and/or events within the province of New Brunswick
