Potential Motors is an electric vehicle technology startup focused on electric off-road vehicles. Our technology, Off-Road OS, will accelerate the off-road transition to electric vehicles by enabling manufacturers to develop more modular, performant, and resilient EV products. We are looking for ambitious people to join our team in electrifying an industry, starting with the launch of the world’s first electric ORV, the Adventure 1.

Here’s where you’ll come in:
Control System Design
Carry out controls requirements analysis based on company goals.
Design the vehicle control systems such as torque vectoring, path planning algorithms, suspension control, wheel slip control.
Architect the controls software code.
Analysis
Carry out analysis of controls algorithms both in simulation and vehicle.
Apply data science techniques such as machine learning, statistical modelling  and artificial  intelligence to gather insights from analysis results.
Deployment
Deployment of control systems into the real vehicle.
Perform functional testing on the deployed codes.
Conduct embedded unit testing ECU codes.
Validation
Validate the requirements of the design using processor-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop and in-vehicle testing.
Manage Software development cycle using tools such as Git, and CI/CD.
What you’re good at
    • Excellent Vehicle Dynamics Knowledge
    • Experience in control theory and signal processing
    • Experience with online optimisation and operational research algorithms.
    • Experience with AI/Controls Systems as applied to the automotive space.
    • Excellent Programming skills in Python, C++, and Matlab
    • Experience with embedded controls development cycle.
    • Experience with SW testing in vehicles
    • Experience in Safety Critical Software Development Cycle is a plus.
