CFM: Senior Estimator

We are currently accepting resumes for a Senior Estimator/Project Manager, located in Saint John, NB.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties of associated mechanical and structural estimating, including estimating of labor & material components for projects.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements in order to develop full scale project plans.
  • Lead the planning and implantations of projects.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Liaise with various customers regarding customers regarding projects and quotations.
  • Provide direction & support to manufacturing group on projects.
  • Mentor & coach other estimating and drawing office employees.

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering Technologist or Engineering.
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience.
  • CET certification or P Eng designation is considered an asset.
  • PMP designation is considered an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and design capabilities required.
  • Knowledge of Steel Manufacturing is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to achieve high performance levels in a complex fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Ability to set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Ability to manage through teamwork and influence, as well as gain commitment.
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
