Virtual Marine develops high fidelity simulation training systems. Incorporated in 2004, the genesis of our company occurred 22 years earlier when tragedy struck the Newfoundland offshore. The sinking of the Ocean Ranger etched the importance of safety and survival training into the local psyche and drove extensive research into improving offshore emergency preparedness. The subsequent collaboration between industry, academia and government fostered a culture of innovation from which Virtual Marine eventually emerged.
Though our roots remain tied to the Newfoundland offshore, we have grown our simulation expertise to meet the needs of the global energy, defence and shipping industries. To ensure success we approach every project with the same mindset; develop an engaging training experience that helps our clients improve operational performance.
