Redrock is very proud to be working with Almon Equipment and Ballard Power Systems on the development of a 280kW fuel cell powerplant for the Alberta Zero Emissions Truck Electrification Collaboration (AZETEC) fuel cell truck project. The project is being led by the Alberta Motor Transport Association, with funding from Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA). The AZETEC project will develop two fuel cell powered heavy transport trucks capable of daily round trips between Edmonton and Calgary. These class 8 trucks are the first of their kind due to their power, range, and capacity. We will be assisting with the integration of Ballard FCmove™-HD fuel cell modules, power electronics, hydrogen storage, and cooling systems into fuel cell engines capable of driving the 64 ton trucks at highway speeds in all Alberta weather conditions.
