NIAG study on How to Enhance Secure, Resilient and Sustainable Availability of Strategic Materials and Microelectronics Essential to Allied Capability

Last Updated: May 11th, 2023

Dear Canadian industry,

On May 9, the NIAG held the Exploratory Group meeting for SG 290 related to “How to Enhance Secure, Resilient and Sustainable Availability of Strategic Materials and Microelectronics Essential to Allied Capability Development and Delivery.” Study details are attached from the initial calling notice.

As there was nearly no representation from North American companies, an additional effort is being made to recruit Canadian and U.S. participation before the Kick Off meeting, which should be held in approx. 4 weeks (no date yet set). SG 290 is a follow-on to SG 274 where it seems that it was already difficult to present a transatlantic and more pertinent approach due to the lack of involvement by U.S. and Canadian contributors.

If you are interested in participating in this study please contact, as soon as possible, the Head of the Canadian NIAG Delegation is Nicolas Todd ([email protected]).

Kind regards
