REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: A&D Careers Marketing Strategy and Materials

Introduction

The Atlantic Canada Aerospace and Defence Association (ACADA) supports, connects, and promotes a diverse and dynamic membership committed to delivering industry-leading aerospace and defence (A&D) solutions to the world. Through custom services and programming in direct response to market needs, we help our members and our region innovate future potential for positive global impact.

Formed in response to the desire and need to work collectively with a “strength in numbers” approach to promote and advance the A&D sector development on behalf of the Atlantic region, ACADA has been providing services to a growing membership since 2016. Now, armed with a new strategic plan, fresh industry research, workforce development committee, an engaged 190+ company membership, and a compelling brand narrative, we are embarking on the next phase of ACADA and, as such, are looking for a marketing agency to help us accomplish our goals in workforce development, specifically youth attraction to the A&D industry.

The goal of this project is to develop a strategy and associated materials to inform youth and inspire them to pursue careers in the A&D industry. We are looking for proposals from interested agencies to advise what is realistic to expect for this budget amount and to learn more about your capabilities.

Project Description

It is critical for our industry to engage with youth, and ACADA is hoping to lead the way in reimagining promotion of the A&D sector as a wonderful place to work with this project. We expect this project will provide us with the resources required to reach our future workforce.

Specifically, we would like to work with a marketing agency on:

Strategy:

  • The successful bidder will build a strategy to identify how and where to reach youth to inform them about and attract them to A&D as a career path (i.e., when they are making career decisions, channels, methods of reaching them, etc.
  • The strategy should be concise and action oriented.
  • The strategy should consider ACADA’s typical channels (in-person member engagement, email newsletter, LinkedIn, website, member/partner network) and small team.

Materials:

  • The successful bidder will design promotional materials that are suitable for the target audiences and channels indicated in the strategy.
  • Materials may be print, digital, or otherwise – we expect to discover this with the successful bidder through the strategy phase of the project.
  • Respondents are encouraged to consider that ACADA is a not-for-profit industry association in their proposed strategy. Therefore, additional funds for a large media buy will not be possible in the 2024-25 FY. The selected agency should consider the budget noted in this RFP as the total amount available for agency fees, printing, advertising, etc. in the 2024/25 FY.

The strategy and associated materials will be used for 3+ years following the delivery deadline to encourage youth to consider the A&D sector for their future career.
