Emily Smits is the CEO of Modest Tree, a software company specializing in digitalization of maintenance for complex equipment and providing 3D training services and software. Emily is a thought leader in immersive training and digitalization of service, having partnered with global manufacturers in aerospace, defense, and automotive industries to develop new business models for in-service operational and maintenance support. In addition, Emily serves as a board member for Digital Nova Scotia and ACADA. . Since co-founding Modest Tree in 2011, Emily has collaborated with leading organizations to revolutionize their operations through digital technology, enabling them to streamline maintenance processes, train staff, and make informed decisions. Emily holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University and is a designated accountant (CPA-CMA) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
