In my current position as Senior Vice President, Strategic Development for IMP Aerospace & Defence I am responsible for all strategy development, business development and communications for one of Atlantic Canada’s largest defence contractors. In this role, I regularly deal with all levels of both the Government of Canada and foreign governments and OEMs and so have a wide breadth of knowledge on the challenges associated with trying to do business in Canada and abroad in the context of offsets and other industrial policies.
Prior to joining IMP as VP Engineering and then VP Programs, I was VP Engineering & Programs for Ultra Electronics Maritime Systems. This puts me in a fairly unique position of having worked for two of the larger defence contractors in the region across both the naval and aerospace domains. It also means I have had the challenge of recruiting highly skilled and qualified technical and project management professionals in Atlantic Canada.
I am a passionate advocate of the aerospace and defence industry and also a committed Maritimer and so I would relish the opportunity to give back a little and support the efforts of ACADA in supporting our industry and our community.
