Program Objective

The Atlantic Canada Aerospace & Defence Association (ACADA), in partnership with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), is offering support to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the Aerospace, Defence, and Security sectors to help them achieve essential industry certifications and accreditations.

The Certification and Accreditation Program (“the Program”) aims to help Atlantic Canadian SMEs stay competitive and maintain market access by providing funding for certification and accreditation projects.

Eligible Companies

To qualify for the Program, companies must meet the criteria outlined in the program guidelines. 

Project Costs

Approved projects will be cost-shared between ACADA and the SME. The maximum project cost eligible for support is $18,000, with the SME responsible for 35% of the total cost. 

Eligible projects include, but are not limited to: 

  • Gap analysis
  • Control implementation 
  • Scoping 
  • Skills development and training 
  • Consultation support 
  • Other deliverables proposed in the application

Eligible certifications include, but are not limited to: 

  • ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 
  • AS9100 
  • CMMC / NIST 800-171 
  • Controlled Goods
