The Bull Arm Fabrication Site (BAF) is Atlantic Canada’s largest marine industrial facility with deepwater access, secure infrastructure, and over 6,300 acres of industrial-scale capacity. The site is fully equipped to support: repair, maintenance, and refit programs; vessel retrofits and shipbuilding; in-service support and layup; Arctic and Atlantic missions; secure logistics; and, decommissioning.

Strategically located about an hour from St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, BAF is closer to the Arctic and Europe than any comparable North American facility. The site offers lease-based access to multiple users and has direct connection to international shipping routes.

BAF is operated by the Oil and Gas Corporation of Newfoundland and Labrador (OilCo) on behalf of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The BAF facility has three core areas – Marine Facility, Fabrication Yard, and Deepwater Site – with robust infrastructure:
* Over 500m of deepwater berthage
* Over 23,000m² of enclosed workspace
* ISPS-approved with global marine access
* Secure laydown and staging areas
* Industrial buildings with cranes, multi-blade doors, and large-volume shops
