UNB-NRC Speaker Series: Research and Development Challenges and Priorities

Dr. Paul J. Mazerolle, University of New Brunswick’s (UNB’s) President and Vice-Chancellor, invites you to a full-day speaker series on the Government of Canada’s key priorities and current research. The speaker series will take place on Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, at the Wu Centre on UNB’s Fredericton Campus from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Universities have an important role to play in discovering solutions to Canada’s long-term challenges and growth priorities. This event provides an opportunity to bring together some of the country’s leading researchers, industry partners, and policymakers to discuss innovative ways to address key areas where government priorities and research and development capacity align.

Dr. Joel Martin, Chief Digital Research Officer with the National Research Council (NRC) will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Martin’s address will cover opportunities and challenges in non-traditional use cases and provide insight into methods to leverage new and existing technologies and applications in an increasingly connected world.

Other presentations will cover topics including climate action and collaboration and partnerships.

A detailed agenda will be finalized in the coming week. Registration is free and will include lunch and refreshments. Please RSVP to president@unb.ca by Oct. 21 and let us know of any food restrictions. We hope you are able to join us.
