ACADA Announces Winners of the 6th Annual ACADA Industry Excellence Awards

October 11th, 2022 – Halifax, N.S. – The Atlantic Canada Aerospace and Defence Association (ACADA) presented Industry Excellence Awards to MODEST TREE MEDIA INC., FOREST PROTECTION LIMITED, GEOSPECTRUM TECHNOLOGIES INC., COMPOSITE MATS CANADA INCORPORATED (CMCI) at the ACADA Gala Dinner on October 5, during DEFSEC Atlantic 2022 in Halifax, NS.

These Atlantic Canadian recipients were celebrated for their success and excellence in the aerospace, defence and security industries in four distinct categories – Innovation Leader – Modest Tree Media Inc., Business Development Distinction – Forest Protection Limited, Most-Promising Start-up or Business Diversification – Composite Mats Canada Incorporated (CMCI) and Diversity and Inclusion Excellence – GeoSpectrum Technologies Inc.

  • Innovation Leader: Modest Tree Media Inc. is a data-centric digitalization company that specializes in leveraging advanced technologies to transform the way companies collect, consolidate, and reuse training and operational datasets to propel their business goals. They work with leading OEMs and Enterprise clients to provide consultations, services, and digital tools to accelerate Enterprise training and operational intelligence.
  • Business Development Distinction: Forest Protection Limited is a global leader in full-spectrum forest health management. Forest Protection helps forest practitioners preserve and promote forest health through aerial firefighting, collaborative research & development, training, and aerial work. Their unique set of specializations allows them to better champion forest stewardship.
  • Most Promising Start-Up or Business Diversification: Composite Mats Canada Incorporated (CMCI) is a female-owned indigenous business based in St. John’s, NL, and serving all of Canada. CMCI provides composite matting, asset protection products, access solutions, project management and logistics.
  • Diversity and Inclusion Excellence: GeoSpectrum Technologies specializes in underwater acoustic transducers and systems for the oil and gas, defence and surveillance, and environmental sectors. GeoSpectrum has expanded their manufacturing capabilities to include end-to-end systems for a variety of marine applications. Through their experience in optimizing underwater acoustics, GeoSpectrum’s products are built to withstand long-term deployments in a harsh ocean environment.
